The “Finishing Touch” at the Mansion In May

The Mansion In May is an annual fundraiser held by The Women’s Association of Morristown Medical Center (WAMMC).  This year is their 16th event and Finishing Touch Landscape Construction is a proud sponsor and artisan!  The mansion selected is the Glynallyn Mansion located within the famed “Millionaires Row” in Morristown.  Guests are invited to tour this historic mansion featuring design inspirations from 60 of the area’s top interior and landscape designers.  The WAMMC plans to raise funds to support the creation of a new Inpatient Hospice and Palliative Care Center at Morristown Medical Center.

The Mansion In May event has attracted over 20,000 guests over previous years especially with Mother’s Day being one of the favorite days on which to visit.  Please stop by to see our display located within this historic landscape titled “Gateway to the Glen”!  Our landscape is described as such due to the original orientation of a glen within the gated entrance to the Glynallyn Gardens.  Our landscape consists of natural blue stepping stones which connect tourists from Lookout Garden to the raised Corner Garden.  Similar to an English Garden, our design consists of fresh green grass, sea daffodils, cat mint, lavender, and several unique plantings well worth viewing first hand.

Our design experts worked diligently toward achieving a vision harmonious with the environment.  With many other landscapers involved in their own presentation, all of the tourists will witness a rare opportunity to compare the artistic strengths of each.  Finishing Touch Landscape Construction is confident in participating and sponsoring this historic event as a way to make each guest’s visit that much more enjoyable.  The funds raised by the WAMMC is critical to the support of their worthy cause.  Our intent is to be beautifully present and show support.  Please support this worthy cause!

Parking will be provided at 44 Whippany Road in Morristown with a shuttle to and fro the Mansion.  A free continuous shuttle will also be located at the Convent Station if NJ Transit is used to take the tour.  Tickets are available to purchase online and cost $30/person.  Please visit their website for further details!

We look forward to seeing you there!
